One person airlifted, five rushed to hospital after crash

Six people are in the hospital after they were involved in a two vehicle accident.

The two vehicle crash happened near the intersection of FM 1925 and Hoehn Drive in Edinburg around 10 a.m.

The Texas Department of Public Safety said the driver of a Pontiac Minivan was driving westbound on FM 1925.

A Chevrolet Pickup truck failed to yield the right of way when turning left, and crashed into the minivan.

The Edinburg Fire Department said they used the Jaws of Life after three people were trapped inside the vehicle.

Paramedics rushed the four people in the minivan to various hospitals due to injuries.

It is not known what injuries the four in the vehicle suffered from the crash.

One of the people from the pickup truck was airlifted to the McAllen Medical Center.

The other person was also rushed to a hospital.

Details on the injuries of those involved are not known at this time.

DPS are currently investigating the crash.
