Police identify Donna North High School burglary suspects
Update: Donna ISD police say they have identified three burglary suspects in connection the break-in at Donna North High School, according to Donna ISD police Chief Daniel Walden. Arrest warrants will be issued, Walden said.
Original story: Donna Independent School District officials say a burglary suspect is in custody after a break-in at Donna North High School Sunday night.
According to Donna ISD police Chief Daniel Walden, a suspect broke into the high school through a side door, found the keys to a police unit and stole a vehicle from the parking lot.
Later that evening, deputies say the stolen police unit attempted to pull over a Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office unit. The Sheriff’s deputy didn’t stop, though, and pursued the stolen patrol unit. Deputies say the stolen police unit eventually came to a stop near Dillan Road and Wisconsin Road, where three suspects were seen fleeing the vehicle.
Correction: This story originally stated multiple suspects gained access into the high school. One suspect gained entrance.
