The Brownsville Fire Department responded to a scrap metal fire early Saturday morning.

Around 2 a.m. three fire trucks and a medic unit were sent out to the Jim Wilkinson Iron and Metal Inc.

The business, located on Coolidge and 14th Streets, is a processing and recycling center for metal.

According to the Brownsville Fire Department, it took firefighters four hours to put out the flames.

No injuries were reported.

Brownsville Fire Department said that this is not the first time they have been called out to this recycling center.
