Overnight storms are being blamed for power problems on the first day of school in Rio Hondo.
Superintendent Ismael Garcia said the storms knocked out power at Rio Hondo High School and Rio Hondo Elementary School.
School district crews went into the high school this morning and reset breakers.
But one wing of the elementary school was left without power for about an hour-and-a-half this morning.
The humidity made it a little warm inside, but crews put out fans while problem was fixed.
Superintendent Garcia said the issue was under control at about 9 a.m. Monday.
