A man accused of ramming his pickup into a police cruiser on a chase has turned himself in.
La Feria Police say Ricardo Castaneda gave them a full confession Wednesday morning.
The officer who he allegedly crashed into last month was trying to pull him over at the time.
He was wanted for stealing catalytic converters.
Police say they saw him throw two of them out the window during the chase.
Castaneda was booked into the Cameron County jail Wednesday.
He was charged with aggravated assault on a public servant, evading arrest, and theft.
The officer has recovered from minor injuries.
