Person in custody in connection to San Juan shooting

San Juan police are investigating a shooting that happened around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.

Investigators told Action 4 News that they have one person in custody and are looking for one more.

They said the shooting happened in the 4800 block of Hibiscus Drive just off of Minnesota Road in San Juan.

Investigators said the victim then drove his Ford Expedition to a McDonald TMs restaurant off Expressway 83 in Alamo where he was then taken to a local hospital.

There is no word on how the victim is doing---only that he was shot multiple times.

Investigators continue to put the pieces to this puzzle together and find out what was the motive for this shooting. They do believe that it could have been gang-related.

"The investigation is still in its preliminary stages-- but we do have some information that leads us to believe that there is gang activity related to this shooting, San Juan Police Chief Juan Gonzalez said. We don TMt know the cause of this shooting because we are still in the early stages of this investigation."

Investigators did find a stolen street bike at the home on Hibiscus Drive. They said it was stolen out of McAllen.

There is still no word on who the home belongs too.
