Pistol threat and high speed chase with ex leads to arrest
A Santa Rosa woman faces two charges of Aggravated Assault and three counts of Endangering a Child.
According to court records, 26-year-old Ashley Nicole Muniz arrived to her home located on FM 506 in Santa Rosa where she saw her common-law husband taking personal items from their home.
Her ex and his new girlfriend was helping him remove belongings from the home.
Court records state that when Muniz saw the couple, she got out of her Dodge Charger with a pistol in her hand.
Muniz pointed the gun at her ex and the woman, demanding they get the items out of the car.
The man declined and told Muniz to shoot him, according to authorities.
The man said Muniz walked back to him and shot at the back of the car.
Court records state that a struggle began as the man attempted to take the 9 mm gun away from his common-law wife.
The gun fell to the floor and that TMs when the man and his girlfriend left the home.
Muniz got into her vehicle caught up to the duo as they were driving speeds of up to 100 miles per hour.
The new girlfriend stated she feared for her life when she looked over and saw Muniz traveling at high speeds with their three kids in the truck.
The girlfriend stated she wanted to press charges, but the common-law husband did not.
Muniz was charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and three counts of Endangering a Child.
Her bonds total $130,000.
Child Protective Services has been called to investigate the incident.
