Police: 80-year-old attacks ex-wife with knife
An 80-year-old man was taken into custody after his ex-wife claimed she was assaulted.
Moises Perez was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after he allegedly attacked his ex-wife on Friday.
Harlingen police responded to a disturbance on the 800 block of Orange Heights Drive.
The victim said during an argument, Perez shoved her onto the bed and threatened her with a pocket knife.
She claimed she feared for her life and contacted police.
Police secured the knife as evidence and placed Perez under arrest.
He was later taken to the Cameron County Jail. His bond is set at $50,000.
