Police arrest suspect in Whataburger murder on day of victim TMs burial

Corpus Christi police arrested a man who allegedly beat a La Feria man to death for dinging a car door.
Police arrested 31-year-old David Alvarez in connection to the murder of Aaron Juarez.
Juarez was at Whataburger in Corpus Christi when he allegedly dinged a car door in the parking lot around 2:25 a.m. on Saturday, June 1st.
The car door ding then allegedly led to the beating, which knocked Juarez to the ground.
He was rushed to the hospital where he died.
Juarez was buried earlier today in La Feria.
Police arrested Alvarez on robbery and murder counts around 6:30 p.m.
Alvarez bond was set $200,000.
Corpus Christi police are thanking the public for their cooperation and for proving information on the case.
A scholarship fund has been setup in Juarez's name on Facebook.
