Police hope evidence leads to suspects in jewelry store robbery

McAllen police are looking for three men who they said robbed a jewelry store at gunpoint on Tuesday.

Police say during the robbery one of the suspects injured his hand leaving a trail of blood. They are hoping evidence and surveillance video will lead them to the suspects.

The robbery happened at Angels Jewelry located at the 100 block of South Main Street. Police said men wearing face masks approached the store, and two men went in, while the third stayed outside guarding the business.

The suspects were armed with handguns, and they smashed a display case.

One suspect TMs arm was cut.

The three men were able to escape before police arrived.

"Now we are asking the public to help us identify the suspects and the vehicle," Lt. Joel Morales said.

Police believe the man acting as the lookout was the driver.
