Police: Increase in DWI arrests than other holidays

The Mission Police Department told Action 4 News they have seen a big influx in DWI cases over Mother TMs Day weekend.

They said there is an increase in DWI arrests than other normal holidays.

On Saturday night, a 22-year-old was arrested after he caused a rollover accident.

According to police, he faces DWI charges after he failed a breathalyzer test.

The accident happened on Bryan Road near F.M. 495 at around 1:30 a.m.

The 22-year-old and his two passengers escaped the accident uninjured.

The driver is expected to be arraigned on Monday.
