Police look for parents after little girl found wandering streets alone

Police are looking for the parents of a toddler after she was found alone

A mother is in police custody, facing child endangerment charges after her little girl was found wandering the streets alone.

The three-year-old was found around 2:30 a.m. on the 100 block of west First Street near Texas Boulevard in Weslaco.

The resident of the home called police after he found the toddler wandering the neighborhood.

Police spent the next hour and a half going door to door searching for the parents of the three-year-old.

The girl TMs 24-year-old mother went to the Weslaco Police Department around 11:30 a.m. to file a missing person TMs report.

She is now facing child endangerment charges, and is in police custody.

The little girl is now in custody of Child Protective Services.
