Police make an arrest in brutal Brownsville murder case

Two men are arrested in connection with the death of a Brownsville man.

Brownsville Police charged Ramon Alberto Quiroga"Gonzalez with the murder of Servando Betancourt.

Authorities found Betancourt dead inside his home last Friday evening.

Investigators also arrested and charged Federico Hernandez for tampering with evidence in the case.

Hernandez is accused of attempting to pawn items that belonged to the 51-year-old victim.

Betancourt TMs autopsy showed that he died from a blunt force trauma.

One neighbor told Action 4 News that they heard a gunshot the night of Betancourt TMs death.

Officials said a full autopsy and toxicology will release more information.

Investigators told Action 4 News they are looking to arrest a second suspect involved in this murder.

Officials believe he is in Matamoros where Betancourt TMs vehicle was found.

A bond of $1,000,000 was set for Quiroga"Gonzalez.

Hernandez has not been arraigned at this time.
