POLICE: Man asks police officer for directions while intoxicated

A man was arrested in San Benito after asking a police officer for directions to South Padre Island, while he was allegedly intoxicated.

Robert David Graham Jr. was behind the wheel intoxicated and had two children with him, according to the San Benito Police Department.

One child was in the front seat unbuckled and another one child was in the back seat, according to authorities.

The 27-year-old allegedly showed several signs of being intoxicated, while performing a Standardized Field Sobriety Test, according to San Benito police.

He was arrested on two counts of driving while intoxicated with a child passenger and was transported to the city jail.

Child Protective Services were called, and the two children were released to their mother.

Graham appeared before Justice of the Peace Judge David Garza and his bond was set at $4,000.
