A 27-year-old man is behind bars after he allegedly forced a teenage girl to have sex in exchange for money.
Harlingen police arrested Luis Alberto Sosa Reyes on a sexual assault of a child charge on Friday afternoon.
Investigators told Action 4 News that officers were called out to a home on Pat Neff Street early Friday morning.
A 14-year-old girl told police officers she was forced into having sex with Reyes for cash about six days earlier.
Officers told Action 4 News that the incident happened at a home across town on Mississippi Street.
Reyes remains in custody at the Cameron County Jail under a $50,000 dollar bond and an immigration detainer.
