Police: Motorist struck and killed 56-year-old Pharr woman
A motorist struck and killed a 56-year-old woman Sunday in Pharr.
At about 7 a.m. Sunday, the Pharr Police Department dispatched officers to the 6700 block of South Cage Boulevard to investigate a crash.
Officers determined a black 2005 Ford Explorer struck and killed Maria Isabel Jimenez, 56, of Pharr, according to a news release from the police department.
Justice of the Peace Jaime "Jerry" Muñoz declared her dead at the scene.
Officers arrested the motorist, Reynaldo Gomez of Hidalgo. He's scheduled for arraignment at 1:30 p.m.
