Police searching for Walmart theft suspects

Police are seeking the public's help in locating two persons of interest accused of shoplifting more than $7,000 worth of merchandise from two local Walmart locations.

A Walmart loss prevention officer in Port Isabel reported one of the thefts at about 7:35 a.m. on Monday, according to a news release from the Port Isabel Police Department.

Surveillance video shows a man and a woman taking items from a showcase in the electronic department and leaving the store without paying for them. Police say the items were valued at $2,589.34.

Los Fresnos police say the same suspects are accused of shoplifting items valued at approximately $4,560 from the electronic department at the Walmart in Los Fresnos.
