Authorities are investigating how a five-foot tall marijuana plant found growing wild next to a warehouse in Harlingen.
It all happened on the 1500 block of Wilson Road just after 12 p.m. Thursday.
Harlingen police told Action 4 News that officers were called to scene when a teen noticed it growing next to a fence.
An officer uprooted the plant and seized it as evidence.
Investigators said the marijuana plant weighed about three and a half pounds.
It's not clear who left a seed in that spot but police said the plant will be destroyed.
No criminal charges have been filed at this time but the incident remains under investigation.
