KATY, Texas--Police suspect dogs attacked and killed a 96-year-old man in the backyard of his suburban Houston home.
Juan Campos' grandson found his body on Friday.
Harris County Sheriff's Department Sgt. Ben Beall says Juan Campos had injuries consistent with dog bites on his leg. He told the Houston Chronicle (http://bit.ly/1crOkeJ) it remains unclear whether Campos had other injuries.
Harris County animal control workers rounded up six dogs.
Campos' grandson Miguel Velasquez says he found his grandfather lying dead on the ground. Nearby was Campos' Chihuahua, Chloe, who was also dead. He says one dog paced the backyard when he arrived. Velasquez says other dogs were already attacking a pet next door.
Beall says an autopsy is scheduled and the case would likely be brought before a grand jury.
