Mission police are searching for a man who attempted to steal four vehicles but ended up with cash, coins and cokes from two vending machines.

The window was shattered, the van ransacked and the iginition was badly damaged.

Police estimate the damage to property in the thousands.

The suspect is a young hispanic male wearing a white ball cap and a dark colored hoodie carrying a backpack.
