Prescription drugs land high school student in jail

A Harlingen High School student is in jail after police found pills in her possession.

The incident happened just last week after noon.

School police found acetaminophen and hydrocodone in Courtney Love's possession, according to a press release by the Harlingen Police Department.

According to the FDA, acetaminophen is an active ingredient in hundreds of over-the-counter and prescription medicines.

The pills were seized by authorities and Love was placed under arrest, police said.

She was charged with possession of controlled substance in a drug free zone, a state jail felony.

A bond of $5,000 was set for the 17-year-old, and she was booked at the city jail.
