Progreso ISD are firing back after a controversial employee survey was given to seachers and staff weeks following a bribery scandal.
The survey was handed out last week and asks employees if they have seen acts of corruption.
School district officials said auditors asked them to hand out the letters last week to randomnly-chose employees last week.
The incident comes weeks after Progreso's mayor, his former school board president brother and their father were arrested in a bribery scandal.
Some employees were concerned but school district officials said they are not targeting specific employees.
School district officials said the survey was supposed to be returned directly to auditors and not the district.
The deadline to return the survey is January 28th.
