A Cameron County grand jury indicted three men for the murder of Bonita Park woman whose body was stuffed in her refrigerator.
The grand jury met Wednesday and indicted the three following suspects on capital murder charges:
- Marco Antonio Barrientos, 20
- Jose Antonio Trevino, 18
- Israel Martinez, 21
The three and a juvenile have been in custody since February for the death of Rosa Marie Gonzalez.
The Harlingen mother of four children lived at the Bonita Park Housing Project where relatives found her body partially stuffed in her refrigerator.
County District Attorney Armando Villalobos said he intends to seek the death penalty against the three adult suspects indicted on Wednesday.
~This was a savage, vicious and brutal murder of a less fortunate member of our community, Villalobos said. Due to the horrific nature of the crime, the Cameron County District Attorney TMs Office intends to seek the death penalty against the remaining adult defendants.
