Employees and patients from the South Texas Health System are asking for your vote!
They are putting on their dancing shoes and pink gloves to help raise money for breast cancer patients.
Thursday morning Cari Lambrecht with the health system and cancer survivor Blanca Chavez came to Sunrise to talk about the competition.
The health facility is asking the community for its support through online votes this Oct. 12 through 26, 2012 as it attempts to win first place in the national Pink Glove Dance international dance phenomenon!
The grand prize is a $10,000 donation that will be awarded to the charity of our choice, the local chapter of the American Cancer Society, if South Texas Health System wins.
This is the second year South Texas Health System has participated in the creative competition, in which entrants submit a music video featuring pink gloves.
The contest is sponsored by Medline Industries.
Last year, South Texas Health System ranked 15th place out of 139 entries, receiving more than 6,800 votes.
Voters can only vote once per entry.
