Put Some Zing in Your Burger Recipes this Summer!

Get your spatula ready to flip those burgers this summer!

We all love tasty patties, but sometimes, salt and pepper can get boring.

This morning, James and Jesse from HEB Plus! gave us some great ways to take your burger form ordinary to extraordinary!

They say different proteins, toppings, and condiments are great alternatives to the usual. For example, add a chipotle ketchup or bleu cheese; or substitute arugula or red leaf lettuce for iceberg.

Grill things like pineapple or onions for extra sweetness. You can also use different types of bread like onion rolls or ciabatta instead of a traditional hamburger bun.

Bacon Bleu 2# ground beef such as chuck or ground round2 T Adam's Just Perfect Burger Salt1/2 jar Better Than Good Bacon Jam1/2 jar HEB Bleu Cheese Crumbles Mix ingredients together in a bowl and form into 1/4 - 1/2 # patties. Cook for 7-10 minutes per side for desired doneness. The Big Green 2# ground chuck2 T ea. chopped cilantro and green onions2 T Adam's Just Perfect Burger salt1/4 cup HEB That Green sauce1/4 cup sour cream (or less if you want it really spicy)Fresh avacado slices Mix beef with cilantro, onions, and salt; do not over work. Form into 1/4- 1/2 # patties and cook 7-10 minutes to desired doneness. Mix sour cream and Green suace to top burgers with avacado slices. Fiesta Salmon Buger 4 HEB Fiesta Jalapeno Samon Burgers1 can pineapple rings or fresh pineapple, slcied and cored2 cups shredded lettuceSour cream as neededTexas on a Plate Chipotle Ketchup as needed Grill pineapple; set aside. Cook burgers 5-7 minutes then top with pineapple, lettuce, sour cream and ketchup.
