Rains leave Brownsville streets flooded

Brownsville residents are reporting street flooding as a cold front moves through the Rio Grande Valley with rain.
Rains are leaving behind flooding in several areas of Brownsville with the central area of the city hit the hardest.
According to the latest forecast, the chance for rain is expected to continue through midnight.
The National Weather Service in Brownsville reported that 1.5 feet of water was covering Paredes Line Road just south of Boca Chica Boulevard.
Another two to four inches of water was covering the road next to the WalMart off Boca Chica Boulevard and Old Port Isabel Road.
More flooding was reported off FM 511 and Paredes Line Road where at least eight inches of water covered the street.
Several cars were reported to be stranded off Pablo Kiesel Boulevard and Morrison Road due to one foot of water over the roadway.
Brownsville resident also turned to the social media networks Twitter and Facebook to share photos of the flooding.
Many Action 4 News viewers reported flooding off the frontage road of Expressway 77/83 and in neighborhoods off Military Highway on the city's westside.
