RAW VIDEO McAllen Flooding, Hail Damage

Action 4 News has posted RAW VIDEO of a wild thunderstorm that dumped several inches of rain and golf ball-sized hail in McAllen on Thursday night.

The storm rolled into town around 9 p.m. Thursday dumping several inches of rain.

But it also brought with it golf ball-sized hail causing untold amounts of property damage, which is still being assessed this morning.

Action 4 News cameras were rolling during some of the worst rains and flooding.

An exploding transformer was caught on camera near Pecan Avenue and Main Street.

Cars were seen sloshing through floodwaters through the intersection of North 10th Street and Pecan Avenue.

Many of them had to duck into gas stations to ride out the storm.

Piles of golf ball-sized hail were built up on Nolana Avenue and North 10th Street.

Hail stones damaged signs and built up in piles at a shopping center off North 23rd Street and Harvey Avenue.

A lake had formed in the middle of the shopping center's parking with several cars in the middle.
