Region One Education Service Center helps prospective educators find jobs

Educators are now in high demand as school districts prepare for the upcoming year.

The Region One education service center had 35 school districts and charter schools under one roof today.

It was an effort to provide prospective teacher candidates with the opportunity to meet and interview with the schools.

Officials say there was a shortage of education jobs a few years ago causing many professionals to take jobs away from home.

With more jobs available, many teachers are looking to work closer to where they live.

The fair gives job hunters an opportunity to apply for several districts and meet face to face with superintendents.

If you did not make it out to the job fair, it is not too late to apply.
