Reynosa teen identified as victim in fatal wreck on Pharr bridge

Authorities have identified a Reynosa teenager at the victim who died in a fatal wreck on the Pharr International Bridge.

The fatal, three-vehicle accident happened on Tuesday just before 6 p.m.

Pharr police told Action 4 News that a red Chevy Spark was involved in an accident with white commercial truck and red 18-wheeler.

Authorities reported that 18-year-old Gerardo De La Rosa-Montoya was behind the wheel of the Chevy Spark.

Pharr police reported that the Reynosa teenager died at the scene of the accident but that the drivers of the other two vehicles were not injured.

It's not clear how the accident happened but the fatal wreck remains under investigation.
