The donated items have been delivered to the tornado victims in Oklahoma.
Thanks to the Rio Grande Valley community that brought in donations, the Red Cross has been presented with $4000 and an 18-wheeler full of items.
The donations were taken to a resuce crew in Shawnee, located 15 minutes away from Moore, Oklahoma.
At least 24 people, including nine children, were killed when an EF-5 tornado hit Moore.
Action 4 News teamed up with the American Red Cross, Royal Freight, KURV 710 AM, the Monitor and its sister newspapers to collect items for survivors.
The Big Cat Trucker took the items up to Oklahoma over the weekend.
American Red Cross is continuing to take monetary donations.
