Ring in the new year with family fun

The countdown to say hello to 2013 is on across the globe and Action 4 News has the perfect party for you!

We're teaming up with the city of McAllen for their New Year's Eve Bash 2013!

It's a family friendly event that promises to have something for everyone.

Event Producer, Christopher Julien and the City of McAllen Special Events Coordinator, Christina Brennan explained exactly what you can expect at this family-friendly event.

The event will be held at the McAllen Convention Center on Monday, Dec. 31 and gates will open at 5:30 p.m. Attendees will be able to enjoy free parking and admission the whole night!

For the first time, McAllen has made this event family friendly and alcohol will not be served or allowed in. Children will be able to enjoy carnival rides, magicians, a laser light show and a huge firework display to welcome 2013!

Patrons can also jam out to live music on three stages with Jimmy Gonzalez y Mazz and rock out with the Whiskey D Band and Top 40.
