A Weslaco man is out on bond after being accused of attacking another driver during a "road rage" incident in Pharr.
Pharr police arrested 57-year-old Arturo Aparicio Hernandez on an aggravated assault charge on Thursday.
Court records released on Monday show Hernandez attacked a driver after getting into a near accident off U.S. Highway 281.
The victim told police that there was construction on the roadway and that the victim had to change lanes to avoid rear-ending a car.
Police said the victim cut in front of Hernandez's car also causing him to swerve in and out of his lane.
Hernandez allegedly responded by following the victim and forced the victim to stop.
The 57-year-old man kicked the victim's door prompting the victim lowered the driver's side window to talk to Hernandez.
Hernandez allegedly kicked the victim in the face and took off.
The victim called police while following Hernandez to a business in Edinburg where he was arrested.
Hidalgo County Jail records show that Hernandez was released on Saturday after posting bond.
