Authorities have charged a second suspect in the deadly brass knuckles beating death of a man in Harlingen.
Cameron County Sheriff's Department deputies booked Lee Roy Hernandez on a murder charge on Friday.
Court records show that Hernandez and Esequiel Martinez have both been indicted in the beating death of Leroy Mena.
Both men are accused of using brass knuckles to hit Mena on his head.
An exact motive is still not clear but Mena spent more than a week in the hospital before dying.
Both Hernandez and Martinez remain in custody at the Cameron County Jail where they are both awaiting trial.
