The Department of Public Safety released the name of the second victim killed in a Friday night car crash.
Trooper Johnny Hernandez said Cesar Alejandro Bocanegra, 22, and his passenger Patsy Jasmin Razo, 23, were speeding southbound on Val Verde Roads just past 7 p.m.
According to DPS, their Chevy Monte Carlo was passing another car in a no passing zone, but when Bocanegra tried to get back to the proper lane, he lost control.
The Monte Carlo ended up sideways between the north and south bound lanes.
At that time, DPS said a Ford Explorer struck them on the passenger side, killing both Bocanegra and Razo.
A family of four was traveling inside the Ford Explorer, which included the parents and their five and a two year old children.
Emergency responders transported all four to the hospital for treatment.
The extent of their injuries was not immediately known.
