A store clerk is facing criminal charges after she allegedly sold beer to an undercover minor during a sting operation in Hidalgo.
Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) agents arrested 44-year-old Lucia Garcia late Saturday afternoon.
Investigators told Action 4 News that TABC agents ran an undercover minor sting operation throughout Hidalgo County on Saturday.
Garcia was working at the El Tigre Food Store in Hidalgo where she allegedly sold a Bud Light beer to an undercover minor.
The minor, who was working with TABC agents, allegedly showed Garcia an authentic Texas identification card showing an age below 21 years old.
Investigators said Garcia looked at the card but sold the beer to the minor anyways.
The 44-year-old woman was released from the Hidalgo County Jail on Sunday after posting a $5,000 bond.
