Authorities are investigating a chase that ended with several immigrants being injured south of Alamo.
U.S. Border Patrol officials told Action 4 News that the incident started in the Las Milpas area of Pharr just after 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Border Patrol agents tried to pull over a vehicle but the driver refused to stop.
Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) state troopers for backup but the driver continued to lead authorities on a chase.
State troopers said the driver tried using road spkes to stop authorities.
The chase ended off Dicker and Tower Roads just south of Alamo.
Investigators reported that 20 illegal immigrants and the drive were inside the car.
Paramedics rushed several immigrants to local hospitals for treatment of injuries sustained during the crash.
