Multiple people are injured and six others are dead after a man driving a stolen truck led authorities on a high-speed chase.
The driver of the stolen truck led a Texas Highway Patrol sergeant from Alton to North of Mission, where he crashed into three vehicles, according to the Department of Public Safety (DPS).
The fatal collision happened on the intersection of FM 2221 and Western Road near Mission.
The pickup truck was allegedly stolen from a person in Alton.
After the crash, the driver fled the scene, but the sergeant was able to arrest him quickly, according to DPS.
There were three other vehicles involved in the crash; multiple people, including the driver of the stolen truck, were transported to several nearby hospitals.
The identities of those involved have not yet been released.
Authorities are investigating the crash.
