A McAllen teen is out on bond after being accused of having sexual contact with an underage girl on the McAllen High School campus.

McAllen ISD police booked 19-year-old Daulton James Moes into the Hidalgo County Jail on a sexual assault charge on late Tuesday morning.

Investigators are not releasing details but school district officials confirmed the incident happened after hours on school grounds.

Court records obtained by Action 4 News show that the 19-year-old student had consensual sexual contact with a 14-year-old girl.

Administrators discovered the activity while disciplining the girl and finding writing on a sheet of paper detailing the acts, which happened more than once.

The girl's mother told McAllen ISD police that she wanted to press charges.

Records show that Moes was released on Tuesday after posting a $20,000 personal recognizance bond.

School district officials said the case has been forwarded to the Hidalgo County District Attorney's Office for further review.
