Sexually assaulted after helping suspect 'set the mood' for wife

A man is behind bars after he lured a woman to a motel room and then allegedly sexually assaulted her.

The woman alleges Angel Diaz threatened her with a gun when she refused his advances.

Instead of spending the night with family on Thanksgiving, Angel Diaz spent the night in jail for allegedly forcing a woman to perform oral sex on him and videotaping it.

McAllen investigators said the woman called police from the motel's front desk after the assault happened.

When they arrived, officers report that they observed suspicious matter in the woman's hair and on a shirt she apparently used to clean her mouth after the assault.

They cut a portion of the victim's hair and took the shirt as evidence.

The woman told police Diaz led her to the motel, so that she could help him plan a surprise for his wife, but after they decorated the room with flowers and candles, he told her he liked her and wanted to have sex with her.

According to the police report, when she refused, Diaz allegedly pulled out a gun and threatened to shoot her if she didn't remove her clothes.

He then set up a video camera, allegedly forced her to perform oral sex on him, and threatened to post the video on the internet if she told anyone.

The woman escaped the room and called for help.

Police were able to track Diaz down.

Investigators went to his residence in Alamo because they believed he was a flight risk.

They found him in Alamo with the help of the Alamo police, said Investigator Jose Hernandez with McAllen police.

They got the suspect recovered the camera and the weapon.

Diaz was charged with aggravated sexual assault.

His bond was set at 150 thousand dollars.
