Authorities are investigating an accident caused by men shooting at each other from inside two different trucks.
The roving shootout ended near the intersection of Hall Acres and South Stewart Roads just before 6 p.m. Tuesday.
San Juan police told Action 4 News that men inside two cars were shooting at each other.
The two vehicles became involved in an accident off Hall Acres and South Stewart Roads.
Police said one of the two vehicles became involved in a rollover accident while the other fled the scene.
Paramedics airlifted a man who had been shot in the back to a local hospital where he was last listed in critical condition.
Another man in the truck was rushed to a local hospital for treatmen of injuries sustained during the rollover accident.
Investigators said both victims are both known gang members.
Shell casings at the scene suggest that a high-powered rifled was used during the shootout but no weapons were found on the victims.
Authorities have placed a lookout for a Ford F-250 pickup truck with lowered hydraulics.
