Two shopping bags filled with more than 20 pounds of cocaine landed a Brownsville man behind bars.
U.S. Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) agents arrested 27-year-old Filiberto Guerrero early Monday afternoon.
Investigators told Action 4 News that HSI agents had Guerrero under surveillance in parking lot of a Brownsville supermarket.
HSI agents allegedly saw Guerrero handing off two shopping bags filled with eight bundles with more than 20 pounds of cocaine.
Guerrero appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Felix Recio in Brownsville on Tuesday morning.
Court records show that Guerrero is an American citizen who lives in Brownsville.
Judge Recio denied bond for Guerrero until a Thursday afternoon hearing.
