A man is arrested for kidnapping Jose Rodriguez, Jr. earlier this week in Pharr as the victim TMs son told them stop during the incident.
Pharr police said Gilbert De Leon and a group of men kidnapped Rodriguez from his Cardinal home Monday around 7 p.m.
Documents stated that De Leon was waiting at the Rodriguez TMs home in a four-door Buick.
He allegedly entered the property as a red Dodge Durango with three men came by and forced the Rodriguez into the vehicle.
One of the men allegedly used a stun gun on his neck, forcing him into the Durango.
According to documents, Rodriguez TMs son was playing basketball across the street and saw De Leon grab his father TMs shoulders while a stun gun was used.
He told the men to stop as he saw sparks from the end of the stun gun.
The 38-year-old fled the scene in the Buick as the other men left in the Durango with the victim.
The group of men left Rodriguez at a McDonalds restaurant off Expressway 83 in Alamo Tuesday.
Authorities charged De Leon with aggravated kidnapping.
A bond of $150,000 was set for the 38-year-old.
