Stabbing with 'unknown' object sends man to hospital
A Harlingen man was arrested after stabbing another man.
Overnight, 23-year-old Michael Rubio Lopez allegedly stabbed the man with an unknown sharp object on the left side of his stomach.
According to police reports, the object was never recovered.
The incident happened around 9:45 p.m. on Thursday.
Witnesses confirmed to police that they saw Lopez stab another man.
The victim was transported to Valley Baptist Medical Center for treatment.
Harlingen Police Department responded to the scene where they placed Lopez under arrest.
He was booked on a aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge, a second degree felony.
A second degree felony is punishable up to 20 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
