Authorities are asking for the public's help in finding a Starr County teenager who was kidnapped at gunpoint from a home in La Casita.
Starr County Sheriff's Office deputies are investigating the Wednesday evening abduction.
Investigators told Action 4 News that deputies were called to investigate the kidnapping of 14-year-old Brandon Medina.
Witnesses told deputies that several armed men drove up to the house in a green Dodge pickup truck and took Medina by force around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
It's not clear why the men kidnapped Medina but deputies found the truck abandoned nearby along the banks of the Rio Grande River.
Public records show that the pickup truck is registered to a man who lives in Houston.
Medina has not been found since his abduction.
La Casita is rural community located about nine miles east of Rio Grande City.
