Steve's Ice House suspects identifed as 'Tri-City Bomber' members

The robbery took place at Steve's Ice House where a clerk was shot in the head.

San Juan police told Action 4 News that two out of four suspects in the shooting of a store clerk are ranking members of the 'Tri-City Bombers' street gang.

Investigators said four people are being charged in the April 4 armed robbery of Steve's Ice House off the corner of West 5th Street and outh Standard Avenue.

Store clerk Gabriel Regalado was shot in the head an left for head. The clerk survived but is still recovering from the his injuries.

San Juan police said they were able to identify two suspects from video surveillance footage and tips to their Crime Stoppers Hotline.

The following four people were arrested on attempted capital murder charges on Monday:

  • Michael Barrientes, 37
  • Emiliano Garcia, 32
  • Jessica Bueno, age unknown
  • Evon Bueno, age unknown

Investigators said Barrientes and Garcia have been identified as ranking members of the Tri-City Bombers gang.

Police identified Jessica Bueno as the getaway driver and Barrientes' wife. Her sister Evon allegedly participated in the crime as well.

Investigators arrested Barrientes and his wife near their San Carlos home in a white Chevrolet Camaro that was allegedly used in the robbery.

Evon Bueno and Garcia were picked up afterwards.

The four are expected to be arraigned at 2 p.m. Tuesday.
