Stolen pugs returned to La Feria family, suspect in custody

A pair of stolen pugs has been returned to a La Feria family while a suspect in their theft is being held in custody.

Both "Zuzu" and "Buster" are back at home with their family.

The two pug puppies were stolen from their La Feria home on Friday but an image of the suspect was caught on tape.

Action 4 News released the video on Monday during our 6 p.m. newscast on Monday.

A woman in Weslaco reported that somebody dumped the dogs in her backyard just a few hours later.

The woman was able to contact the owners and reunite them.

La Feria police told Action 4 News that police arrested a man they believe to be connected with the theft.

But that man had a warrant for his arrest out of Raymondville.

Investigators said the suspect will be questioned about the theft once he is released from custody of Raymondville police.
