A man was taken into custody after he led police on a chase through three Valley cities---finally ending in Palmview.
Penitas Police Chief Roel Bermea told Action 4 News they got the call early Saturday morning that a truck had been stolen.
Once police located the vehicle, the driver of that stolen truck led police on a 15-minute pursuit.
The pursuit started in La Joya and ended with the 2006 GMC pick-up losing control as he maneuvered around a ditch on Mile 2 and Orange Grove in Palmview.
A property owner close by told Action 4 News that this is not the first time a car has come close to hitting their land.
It TMs a very ugly curve where you can TMt see what TMs coming up, said the property owner. They do loose control and we have seen them go into the palm trees and flip over. It TMs very dangerous.
The driver jumped out of the truck and tried making a run for it on foot, but was later caught hiding out in the orchards.
He faces charges on Sunday.
