Student caught with Xanax pills at high school
A Harlingen High School student is behind bars after a tip led authorities to the suspect who allegedly brought Alprazolam, type of Xanax pills, to school.
Authorities arrested Cory Anthony San Miguel after he was called into the high school TMs office where two white pills were found in his possession after a search.
According to police, the Campus Crime Stopper TMs received a tip that a student had drugs with them on campus grounds.
Police arrested the 18-year-old after they found the two white Alprazolam, type of Xanax pills.
Authorities transported San Miguel to the Harlingen City Jail for processing.
A bond of $5,000 was set for the Harlingen High student, and he was charged with possession of drugs in a drug free zone, a state jail felony.
