Students leaving free money on the table

South Texas College wants to alert potential students TM about money being left on the table.

Plus, a new free service to get students to school is available.

Wanda Garza, Interim Vice President of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management stopped by Action 4 Sunrise to explain.

She came by to remind students that fall classes will begin August 26th.

The Mid-Valley, Pecan and Starr County campuses will be open this Saturday from 9am-noon to assist with last minute registration.

Garza said that there are over 1,200 STC applicants that have been awarded financial aid but have not registered for fall classes.

Another great feature for students this school year will be the Mid-Valley JagExpress.

Turns out STC is partnering with Valley Metro to offer free shuttle service in the Mid-Valley area to the Mid-Valley campus.

Shuttle service is also available to take student between MV Campus and STC College & Career Teaching Center in Pharr, STC Nursing and Allied Health Campus in McAllen, and STC Technology Campus in McAllen.
