A Harlingen man accused of sexually abusing two sisters is behind bars following a surprise arrest while in the courtroom for another case.
Cameron County Sheriff TMs Department deputies took 38-year-old David Alonzo Garza into custody on Friday.
Garza is accused of sexually abusing two sisters back in 2007.
The two girls made an outcry to their mother in December prompting an investigation.
The Harlingen man is now facing an indictment for four counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child and five counts of indecency with a child by contact.
The Cameron County District Attorney TMs Office reported that Garza was arrested in court for an unrelated case on Friday.
Garza remains in custody at the Cameron County but court date was not immediately available.
